About

Susanne Fischer is a Swiss fashion designer and textile artist whose practice is rooted in craftsmanship and experimentation. Originally from Vevey, she studied womenswear at the London College of Fashion and gained professional experience in London with Martine Rose and Molly Goddard. Now based
in Brussels, she combines her work as a costume designer for dance companies with the development of her independent creative practice.

Her approach is highly collaborative, often involving artists and practitioners from other disciplines to expand the possibilities of textile-making. Moving fluidly between fashion, textiles,
and art, she explores how traditional crafts can be reimagined through experimental processes. Alongside clothing design, she develops installations and objects that investigate tactility, volume, and narrative. By juxtaposing contrasting materials and methods, for example combining fabric with cast metal, Susanne seeks to blur disciplinary boundaries and open new ways of thinking about the role of textiles today.
